Happy Friday! Today we’re sharing a Plaster & Disaster update: effective immediately, we will be doing a fashion post every Friday! Here’s a snap from a recent shoot we did:
Just kidding, no one should take fashion advice from us. Instead we’re sharing the much less disturbing news that we are changing up our weekly post schedule. Since Plaster & Disaster started over 1.5 years ago, we have posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and have never missed a post except for a handful of vacation days we’ve intentionally planned (and one time when Sage accidentally scheduled a post for a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday….). We love being on a regular schedule, and that isn’t going to change. What is going to change is that we won’t typically be posting on Fridays anymore.
When we first decided on our schedule way back when we dreamed up the blog (more on how it all began here), we planned to post three times per week with content-heavy posts on two days of the week and lighter fare on the last. But then we never felt right putting out light posts so we tried to make all our posts fairly substantial. Recently that has been difficult to maintain, and we’ve found ourselves struggling to deliver good content three times per week. There are a lot of reasons, but the transition to more demanding jobs for both of us (jobs which we both love) has definitely played a big role.
So starting next week, we’ll be moving to two posts a week (Mondays and Wednesdays). We do plan to share some short posts on the occasional Friday, so if you don’t already subscribe to our post notification newsletter we’d definitely encourage you to so that you don’t miss a thing. Ultimately our goal is to keep our projects and posts going on a schedule that is sustainable for us in the long term, keeps it fun, and lets us keep sharing content we’re proud of, and we think this shift will help us do that.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you Monday!
